I am a pre-k teacher in a title one urban Oklahoma school with a large population of Hispanics. I am wanting to start a gardening club with our student body of about 450 pre-k to fifth grade students. I want to take our gardens we have now and expand them. Also creating an outdoor classroom where students can study flowers and creatures in their natural environments. I would also like this club to help build self esteem in the child and help the child have pride in their school. I myself garden and want to share this passion and the excitement I have when I discover creatures and enjoy photographing my plants and flowers. So I am new to this and I am looking for information to get this up and started.
