We currently have three 12 foot long by 4 feet wide raised garden beds. One is filled with just pumpkins which are the kids favorite. They are huge. The other is full of all types of tomatoes, and strawberries. We also have grown eggplants. Zinnias and sunflowers are mixed in with the squash, and cucumbers. Around the beds are 2 cherry trees and in the middle of the yard an apple tree.

How our project is helping kids grow: Some of the kids have never had a garden before even though they live in the country. So they were very excited to see how the food came from seeds. They really enjoyed helping to plant the seeds of the pumpkins. The tomatoes they put in as seedlings. The garden helps them to appreciate how life works.and the benefit of hard work.
