We have 640 square feet of vegetable gardens including 8 raised beds, and a raspberry patch. We have a Native American 3 Sisters garden which is about 320 square feet and I did not include above our prairie which is approx. 1/5 acre and our numerous flower beds, apple and pear trees and our property borders woods which we use for nature exploration.

We are interested in being E-Mail Pals and would like to exchange: I need ideas on getting staff committed and excited. I need ideas on keeping everyone motivated to weed and water during the hottest days. Also, how can we enjoy the prairie when it is full of bees. Staff are afraid to allow children to play for fear of getting stung. Thanks
How our project is helping kids grow: In so many ways. I have children with anger issues who I see visibly calm down when in the garden. I see children trying vegetables that their parents swear they will not eat. Sometimes we sell our product and the math, writing and salesmanship skills they develop is so much better than a workbook page.
