Our gardens have been growing since 1995. Each year students, parents, and community members plant and cultivate vegetables, fruit trees, flowers, grapes, berries and herbs. Classes K-6 choose their own garden themes each year, research gardening technique, harvest and eat what is grown. An after school program, Lil Sprouts Garden Club studies various plants and cultivation techniques as well as choosing special projects for fund raising.

We are interested in being E-Mail Pals and would like to exchange: Lookingglass would love to share our experiences with habitats and gardens and are very interested in how other schools balance sharing gardens with the community and wildlife.
How our project is helping kids grow: At the Lookingglass School, students have learned to identify plants and flowers, problem solve, investigate, collaborate, and work together. They have learned that their hard work has many often tasty benefits. Our students have great pride in their gardens and love to share with others.
