We are just launching a "Gardening Club" at our school and are hoping to slowing develop a beautiful collection of outdoor, community-based, learning gardens.
Number of Kids Involved: 50Square Feet of Gardens: 200
Grades Involved:
We are interested in being E-Mail Pals and would like to exchange: We would love to talk to other schools who are just beginning their gardening experience. Or we'd love to talk with schools that could give us advice as we embark on this adventure.
How our project is helping kids grow: We see our school garden as the perfect way for children to work together across grade levels regardless of their academic abilities; yet they get to use all of those classroom skills in real, hands-on ways. We also want to involve our community as a joint, continuing project.
