This year is the first year we've had a garden. It has been very exciting for the kids to see the "fruit of our labor". I'm so pleased when they are excited to fill a bag with tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, and basil for their families. I'd like to expand the garden experience into greenhouse growing, community service, and meal planning. Of course, all of this takes money, so we will see what happens. I would also like to expand our learning to habitat experiences.

How our project is helping kids grow: We are learning about soil & composting, impact of adding worms, how to organize plants in the garden space to make it most effective. They also learn responsibility and what it means to take ownership in a project.
