We are just beginning our Gardening Program at Strawtown Elementary this year. We currently have 3 parents on our committee. We are hoping to involve as many of our K through 5th graders as possible. This Fall we are restoring a Butterfly Garden and some smaller entrance gardens. We are looking forward to starting a vegetable garden and Educational Program that will incorporate all aspects of gardening, including planning, building raised beds and greenhouses, planting, irrigation and composting. We would like to restore a nature path and some wetlands on the property and begin to install informational/educational markers throughout.
