The National Restaurant Association reports on the importance of Jamba Juice grants!

Passionate about supporting schools and communities by promoting health, wellness and physical activities, Jamba Juice is sponsoring the It’s All About the Fruit and Veggies grant program to provide schools with $500 in gardening supplies, curriculum, soil amendments and plants to help create engaging nutrition and gardening experiences. Observing and exploring fruit and vegetable production gives a deeper

understanding and appreciation for these essential foods in our diet. Recipients will be selected based on plans to promote nutrition education, ideas for incorporating fruit and vegetable activities into the curriculum, and ability to sustain the program over multiple years.

Through the Sip to Support a Garden™ program, schools and community gardens can earn credits that can be applied against the purchase of essential gardening equipment suitable for any age from the National Gardening Association’s Gardening with Kids catalog. Participation is easy: Sign up your school garden or organization on-line; Your organization will receive a Jamba- Kit that includes Sip to Support a Garden swipe cards for supporters, program details and other information; Start swiping — each time a supporter uses the swipe card for purchases at participating Jamba Juice locations, Jamba will donate 10% of the purchase to the NGA to put in your own account.  Use accumulated funds for the purchase of garden equipment for your garden group or program. You can also contact your local Jamba Juice store to inquire about additional ways to earn funds for your gardening program.
