Greening Canada's School Grounds

Greening Canada's School Grounds is a site that can help you plant and design your project, and persuade administrators and funders of its value.

The Gloria Barron Prize for Young Heroes

This prize honors outstanding youth leaders who have made a significant positive difference to people and our planet. Ten prizes are awarded annually; half to youth whose focus has been helping their communities and fellow beings, and half to those who have focused on protecting the health and sustainability of the environment.

Flower Power Fundraising

NGA is proud to endorse Flower Power Fundraising. This program gives schools and nonprofits a "healthy" option for fundraising — selling bulbs that will bloom into stunning floral displays. Flower Power has carefully selected easy-to-plant, easy-to-grow bulbs from among its most popular and best-selling varieties, ensuring a successful, appealing fundraising campaign.

Growing with Children

The purpose of this grant program is to provide hands-on opportunities for every child to learn about agriculture, their food supply and the importance of nutrition through garden-based education. The goal is to establish a garden in every school in California and Arizona. Awards of start-up funds and materials are available.

School Gardening Grants

Each year, the Water Conservation Program awards mini-grants to K-12 public schools in the Tempe and Kyrene school districts. Schools with existing gardens are welcome to apply. The Website also makes plant suggestions for various theme gardens.

Watershed Study Grants

Provide teachers with small amounts of money for environmental education. Any school or school division is Virginia teachers are encouraged to apply for the purpose of conducting meaningful outdoor experiences with their students. Activities that are eligible for funding include restoration, enhancement, protection and monitoring projects and investigative or experimental design activities that foster academic success, reinforce responsible citizenship, and give children the tools they need to contribute to a healthy and enduring environment.
