The SEEK: Sharing Environmental Education Knowledge Website is a place to find Minnesota's resources for environmental education. The directory works as a clearinghouse for all types of resources--from articles to lesson plans and performances to displays. The listings come from a variety of organizations throughout Minnesota.

Sci4Kids is the USDA's Website which provides teachers with resources for classroom activities for middle and high school students. Download WhizKid activities that explore soybeans, quiz students on the facts of wheat, or test their knowledge about food science.

Seed Folks by Paul Fleischman (Joanna Colter Books, 1997). This story celebrates the building of a neighborhood garden (and a sense of community) through the eyes of thirteen inner-city neighbors from various ethnic backgrounds. (Parents and teachers: this book contains realistic, mature themes. Please read and decide if it is appropriate for your child or class.)

Environmental Science on the Net: The Global Thinking Project by Jack Hassard and Julie Weisberg (Good Year Books, 1999). This "Web assisted teaching program" helps educators use the Internet as a tool for guiding students in grades 5-8 through environmental investigations.

Jumbo Book of Gardening by Karyn Morris. Learn how to grow vegetables, plan a theme garden, or attract wildlife. Featuring plans and projects that will help kids become good gardeners and learn about nature at home or in the schoolyard. Ages 9 - 12.

The Center publishes a variety of dietary information materials for the general public and nutrition and health educators. Food Guide Pyramid graphics, posters, and materals can be downloaded from the site, or may be ordered online.
