Will Raap died unexpectedly on December 12, 2022, at the age of 73.
Will was an amazing human, truly someone to admire. He was a deeply loved father, husband, friend, visionary, activist for social and earth justice, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and more.
Will helped lift KidsGardening back on its feet after we transitioned from the National Gardening Association. He had big dreams for our little organization. Within the last few years, much to Will’s credit, we have realized these dreams by bringing together youth garden educators from across the country into the Kids Garden Community.
Will’s unrelenting commitment to improving the world is reflected in the many mission-driven businesses that he either founded or supported, including our partner, Gardener’s Supply Company.
We will work to honor Will’s life through our continued efforts to inspire young people to love and care for the earth and its inhabitants.
